About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary for their Intensive Care Unit. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with day shifts (7 am-7 pm) and is benefit eligible. The role involves functioning as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and performing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU that cares for critically ill patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, shock states with or without multi-organ failure, and respiratory failure.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Responsibilities
- Functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care.
- Performs routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
