About The Position

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The NA provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role is for individuals passionate about healthcare, seeking to make a difference in patients' lives by providing high-quality care and creating a warm, welcoming environment that fosters healing and positivity. The position is open to nursing assistants and patient care technicians of all experience levels.

Requirements

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
If working in North Dakota (ND) or Minnesota (MN) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the NA Registry as a Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Dept. of Health or through the Minnesota Dept. of Health within four months from the date of hire.
If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information.
Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment.
Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
Assisting with daily living activities.
Monitoring and reporting changes in patient conditions.
Ensuring patient safety and well-being.
