Nursing Assistant I
About The Position
Southcoast Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant I at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. This 32-hour-per-week position works the day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotation. The role performs basic patient care and supports licensed staff under the general supervision of an individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services, or designee. Pay is determined by experience and ranges from $19.56 to $27.07 per hour. A $1,200 new-hire sign-on bonus is offered; rehires whose employment ended more than one year ago are also eligible. Requirements
- Education equivalent to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Nice To Haves

- Three months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic patient care, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutritional support.
- Maintain the patient environment.
- Assist licensed staff with other related duties.
