Nursing Assistant I
About The Position
Southcoast Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant I at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. Under the general supervision of an individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or designee, this role performs basic patient care and personal hygiene, supports mobility and nutrition, maintains the patient environment, and assists licensed staff with related duties. The position is scheduled for 24 hours per week on the evening shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The listed pay range is $19.56–$27.07 per hour, with the rate determined by experience. A $1,500 new-hire sign-on bonus is available; rehires whose employment ended more than one year ago are also eligible. Requirements
- Education equivalent to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
- Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or qualify for an exemption by signing a statement certifying the choice to be exempt for medical or personal reasons once hired.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Training Program.
- Three months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
