Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Observation Unit - Days
About The Position
Emplify Health by Bellin is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant for its 25-bed Observation Unit in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The unit provides short-term evaluation, treatment, and assessment for patients who may not need a full hospital admission, including patients experiencing chest pain, TIA, respiratory illnesses, and COPD exacerbations. Staff monitor and assess patients to help determine whether they need further care or can be discharged. The CNA performs diagnostic testing, including phlebotomy and EKGs, and completes refrigerator checks. The role includes precepting new nursing assistants under the guidance of an RN and helping organize patient rooms by emptying garbage and stocking linens and other supplies. The CNA provides age-appropriate care and service, supports reliable and predictable outcomes, helps minimize unnecessary waits, and uses information systems to their full capability. Duties may vary by department. The schedule consists of straight day shifts, with an every-other-weekend rotation and a holiday rotation. Requirements
- Be listed on the State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Be proficient in using information systems to their full capability.
