About The Position

This is a part-time night position for a Nursing Aide on the Rehab Unit Inpatient 3W. The unit is a 35-bed Patient Family Centered Care (PFCC) Rehabilitation Unit designed for patients with intensive therapy needs, providing a transitional setting between the hospital and the patient's home. Patients are medically stable, motivated, and able to tolerate three hours of therapy per day, five days a week. The team includes patients, families, and various medical and case management professionals, working collaboratively on individualized treatment plans.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Required by completion of orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
• Current CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care.
• Helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of defined practice.
• Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, including specific procedures and patient testing addressed in the patient plan of care.
• Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment to facilitate staff performance of patient care.
• Contributes to effective communication related to patient care and efficient unit operation needs.
• Facilitates the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients on and off the unit in accordance with established policies and procedures.
