About The Position

The Therapy Manager will direct, manage, and coordinate the Therapy department's daily inpatient and/or outpatient operations. This role involves providing clinical direction to therapists, technicians, and students, promoting and leading program development initiatives, and serving as a mentor to clinical staff. The manager will plan, evaluate, organize, design, and implement treatment techniques and programs for patients of all ages (0-adulthood) within their scope of clinical competencies. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with the Assistant Director/Director to enhance therapy service delivery, optimize patient flow, manage customer expectations, and ensure patient satisfaction. The Therapy Manager will also provide leadership and support for administrative operations within the TCH Therapy Departments and ensure adequate staffing through effective recruitment, interviewing, selection, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and coordinate the Therapy department's daily inpatient and/or outpatient operations.
• Provide clinical direction to therapists, technicians, and students.
• Promote, facilitate, and lead program development initiatives.
• Serve as a mentor to clinical staff.
• Plan, evaluate, organize, design, and implement treatment techniques and programs in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for patients ages 0 – adulthood within the scope of demonstrated clinical competencies.
• Work closely with the Assistant Director/Director to develop programs/projects that improve the way therapy services are delivered at Texas Children's Hospital.
• Effectively coordinate daily operations to maximize patient flow, internal and external customer expectations and patient satisfaction.
• Provide effective leadership and support of the various systems and administrative operation sections of the TCH Therapy Departments.
• Ensure appropriate and adequate staffing through effective recruiting, interviewing, candidate selection and ongoing performance management.
