About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time caregiver for its classical and Catholic Nursery in Mechanicsburg, PA, for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role does not require a teaching certification or formal teaching experience, as all necessary training will be provided. The ideal candidate may have experience in homeschooling, working with homeschool children, parish ministry, teaching Religious Education or Catechism, teaching their own children, or teaching in a classical or private school. Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. This is an hourly position with provided childcare/nursery. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff are required to complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
