About The Position

Resurrection Kids is hiring caring, dependable individuals to join their team as Nursery Associates. This role involves creating a safe and loving environment for infants and toddlers during services and small group meetings. The associate will actively engage children, lead activities, and use creativity to teach weekly lessons, sharing Christian teachings with each child. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, ideal for individuals with a passion for children and a desire to serve in a meaningful capacity.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work some weekday hours.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and children.
Dedicated and dependable to work assigned shifts.
Must be able to physically lift and carry infants and toddlers safely and securely.

Nice To Haves

Childcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide safety and supervision of children.
Plan and participate with children in age-appropriate activities and lessons.
Thoroughly read and understand the staff manual and covenant and adhere to all Kids Team policies and procedures.
Work with different volunteer and staff personalities in a classroom setting.
Lead music worship time either in a large group setting or individual classrooms.
Communicate regularly with parents, co-workers, and coordinators in a positive way.
Set up and tear down Kids Ministry space weekly.
Keep CPR and Safe Gatherings Certifications up to date.
Other duties as assigned.
Follow Jesus and engage in the “five essential practices” of the Christian life: worship, study, serve, give, and share.
Support the church’s purpose of “building a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious people become deeply committed Christians.”
Exemplify the church’s values and support its theological direction as a United Methodist Church.
