About The Position
San Antonio Independent School District, Texas, Tafollla Middle School, a public charter school is currently seeking a School Nurse.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Texas RN license.
- Must have current CPR certification.
- Experience in pediatrics or school nursing preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform hearing, vision and other health screenings
- Treat students and staff as needed
- Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
- Consult with teachers, school administrators and other school staff regarding student care
- Administer medication
- Monitor student immunization records
- Educate students and staff on health procedures
- Help students who have feeding disabilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
