About The Position

IntellaTriage is hiring part-time remote Nurse Advice Line RNs to provide patient care by phone and support clients’ nursing staffs, particularly during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Nurses work from a home office or other quiet, private, HIPAA-compliant space and speak directly with patients or their families when calls reach the triage line. The role is fast-paced, with at least five calls per hour on weekdays and a higher volume on weekends. Nurses are expected to communicate empathetically while following client protocols, document calls, and handle multiple applications and tasks. There are no call quotas and no PRN positions. The schedule includes at least three weekday shifts per two-week pay period, generally rotating weekday evening shifts, and work on Saturday and Sunday for two out of every three weekends, with rotating weekend shifts. Holiday work is required on a rotating basis. Nurses must clock in at least 30 minutes before calls begin for paid shift preparation and remain clocked in after calls transfer to the next team to complete charting; this may take 30 minutes to two hours. Additional shifts may be available for clients’ teams the nurse is trained to support. The position includes three weeks of paid remote training. The first week is Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. CST; the remaining two weeks depend on preceptor availability and will likely be evening shifts. IntellaTriage provides a laptop and headset. Nurses must provide compatible high-speed fiberoptic or coaxial cable internet and connect the laptop directly to the modem; Wi-Fi is not compatible. Nurses must maintain an active home-state license and required continuing education. IntellaTriage covers non-compact state licensure costs based on assigned clients. Once trained on the originally assigned team, nurses are paid $25 per hour. Part-time nurses accrue PTO based on hours worked, receive three paid sick days per year, and are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
