About The Position

The Nurse Technician provides fundamental nursing care, including personal and restorative care, according to predefined guidelines and a plan of care established by a Registered Nurse. The role works under the direct supervision of Registered Nurse staff and follows Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation requirements, and applicable guidance for healthcare employees. The position is at Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital, with day or night shifts.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from an NLN School of Nursing.
• Complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• Complete appropriate-level de-escalation training by the end of position orientation (90 days).
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, sound assessment and decision-making abilities, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Be able to manage detail and multiple tasks in complex situations and maintain collaborative, respectful working relationships.
• Have proficient computer and keyboard skills and be able to use office technology, including telephone, fax, MS Outlook, and Word.
• Possess strong customer service skills and professional etiquette.
• Be able to work assigned schedules, with possible changes to days off, shifts, or weekends according to hospital needs.
