About The Position

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA is seeking compassionate, dependable Nurse Technicians for priority day-shift opportunities supporting medically fragile and technology-dependent children and young adults. Nurse Technicians are important members of the care team, providing consistent, attentive support to residents with complex medical and developmental needs. The role requires close observation, thoughtful communication, strong teamwork, and a commitment to each resident’s comfort, dignity, and individuality. Candidates with experience supporting medically complex or technology-dependent individuals may be especially well prepared for this opportunity. This role offers priority day-shift opportunities with a schedule that provides consistency and longer stretches of time away from work. Day shift hours are 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with 12-hour shifts. There is an every-other-weekend requirement for regularly scheduled positions, and a weekend-only scheduling option is available. Night-shift opportunities may also be available from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Pediatric Specialty Care at Point Pleasant is located in Bucks County along the Pennsylvania–New Jersey corridor, potentially convenient for candidates from Hunterdon and Mercer counties, the Delaware River communities, and portions of the Lehigh Valley.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
At least 21 years of age
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Current, valid driver’s license
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or more advanced level to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors

Nice To Haves

Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification
Familiarity with computer programs and applications

Responsibilities

Assist children and young adults with activities of daily living, including personal care, toileting, repositioning, mobility, transfers, and mealtime support.
Provide individualized care based on each resident’s abilities, needs, preferences, and established care plan.
Observe residents closely, respond to their personal care needs, and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing supervisor.
Perform trained clinical support tasks, including obtaining vital signs, assisting with range-of-motion exercises, and emptying ostomy bags after completing required training and competency validation.
Document personal care, meals, activities, and other services accurately in the resident’s medical record.
Encourage participation in activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, social, and developmental well-being.
Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to provide consistent, coordinated care throughout the day.
Assist residents entering and exiting vehicles and, when assigned, safely transport children to appointments in a PSC-owned vehicle.
