Nurse Tech 1 East Wing 3 PRN Nursing Student in the last year of Nursing School
About The Position
A Nurse Tech 2 is a non-licensed health care provider, responsible for assisting in the direct and indirect care of patients under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse. The NT-2 learns the role of the RN by assisting and observing the RN. The NT-2 is an integral part of the Nursing care team and assists with hourly rounding, responding to patient and family requests and meeting the needs of customers to promote a positive patient experience. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the EE Wing 3 unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
Requirements
- Will consider a nursing student (RN or LPN) within 6 months of graduating from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Tech work experience
