About The Position

The Nurse Tech will act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. This role involves performing basic skills according to department guidelines and communicating observations to the healthcare team. The Nurse Tech will collect and report on the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with the RN or Provider. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, checking blood sugars, providing bed baths, assisting with ambulation, wound care, catheterization, and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensuring accurate and timely documentation is also a key part of this role.

Requirements

• Hight School Diploma or equivalent Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
• At least 2 weekdays available for the first 4 weeks of floor orientation.
• Must be available for 4 classroom orientation days (Monday-Thursday 8a-4:30p).
• Must be available for 6-8 weeks of floor orientation full time.

• Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
