About The Position

The Nurse Tech assists nursing staff in performing routine patient care for a group of patients during a designated period. The role may also be floated to other Adult Health nursing units. The position is per diem and requires availability for 12-hour day, evening, and/or night shifts as needed by Nursing.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program, in good standing, and have successfully completed at least one hospital-based clinical rotation; alternatively, be a recent graduate of an accredited RN program awaiting successful completion of the NCLEX.
• Hold current BLS certification through an International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR)-provided course upon hire; the course must include a manikin check-off.
• Be available to work 12-hour day, evening, and/or night shifts as needed by Nursing.
• Possess good physical health and be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work with a moderate level of noise.
• Meet the stated physical effort requirements: constant seeing; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling/feeling, talking, and hearing; and occasional climbing, stooping, and crouching.

Nice To Haves

• Availability to work one shift each week in a six-week schedule, with at least two shifts on a weekend and/or holiday.

Responsibilities
