About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is hiring a full-time day Nurse Tech at Hillcrest Health & Rehab in Bellevue, Nebraska. The Nurse Tech provides hands-on daily support and direct care to residents and guests, working closely with nurses, Medication Aides, and other care team members. The role focuses on helping people maintain comfort, dignity, privacy, safety, and independence while supporting individualized care plans and daily routines.

The position involves assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, hydration, call lights, documentation, infection-control practices, and upkeep of resident and guest areas. The Nurse Tech observes residents and guests for changes in condition and reports concerns to the nurse. This role requires a compassionate, reliable, resident-focused approach and the ability to respond calmly and flexibly to changing care needs in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active Nebraska CNA certification.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to safely perform physical duties associated with direct resident care, including assisting with lifting, transferring, repositioning, and mobility needs.
• Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and movement throughout the shift.
• Ability to use electronic documentation and other healthcare technology as required.
• Ability to follow established infection-control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Dependability, flexibility, and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced care environment as needs change.
• Compassionate, respectful, and resident-focused approach.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents and guests with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and other daily care needs.
• Respond promptly to call lights and requests for assistance.
• Observe residents and guests for changes in condition and report concerns to the nurse.
• Support individualized care plans and daily routines.
• Help maintain comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety during care.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Support infection-control and safety practices throughout the community.
• Work closely with nurses, Medication Aides, and other team members to provide consistent care.
• Assist with maintaining clean, organized resident and guest areas.
• Support the care team and residents and guests wherever needed.
