About The Position
The Nurse Technician acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. The role also involves cleaning the patient’s environment, work area, and equipment, and communicating any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel. The Nurse Technician demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior and advocates for the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, staff, and organization data.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Cert required within 90 days
