Requirements

  • One (1) year of general operating room experience as an RN or hospital-approved peri-operative course.
  • May consider any experience in an ASC (ambulatory surgery centers) where procedures are performed that have the same acuity level or level of complexity as an acute care facility.
  • Technical School Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse: NV
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire is required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality care impacting patients' well-being and recovery.
  • Provide individualized, comprehensive care.
  • Perform critical assessments and skilled procedures.
  • Implement patient care plans.
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Complete initial patient assessment and reassessments as indicated by patient condition.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking by implementing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
  • Safely and effectively care for the assigned patient population.
  • Manage medication administration and intravenous (IV) access according to physician's orders.
  • Document nursing care and patient status in accordance with the nursing process.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care-delivery team in verbal and written form.
