About The Position

Scotia Village, a division of Kintura, is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) serving older adults. The Nurse Supervisor leads the clinical team in the household model, which consists of 16 residents, by directing and/or providing clinical care. The role supports resident care and clinical quality while maintaining effective relationships with residents, families, staff, community and State officials, physicians, and other medical personnel.

Requirements

Current North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, State officials, and the general public.
Knowledge of long-term care federal and state rules and regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to clinical staff in areas of clinical accountability, including infection control, safety, wound management, falls, and the RAI process.
Supervise nursing staff.
Support regulatory compliance by encouraging appropriate record keeping and charting.
Carry out quality improvement measurements.
Support the MDS assessment process.
Support care plan development and implementation.
Conduct care plan meetings with residents and families.
Monitor the pharmacy system, medication and treatment administration, and MAR preparation.
Maintain working relationships with physicians and other medical personnel to support quality clinical care.
