About The Position

Sentara Pain Management Clinic in Fort Norfolk is hiring an RN Supervisor! This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, working Monday-Thursday from 7 am to 4 pm. There are no weekends or holidays, and no on-call duties. The Supervisor, Nursing and Patient Care Services for acute care shares 24/7 responsibility to assist the manager with the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. This role supervises patient care services staff to ensure patient safety, high-quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient/family experience. The supervisor assists the manager in developing and monitoring the departmental budget, coordinating purchasing and payroll processes, and serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members. They also perform work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Additionally, the supervisor assists the manager with interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff members to build a highly reliable work team. This role may coordinate and/or assist with staff education, orientation, and precepting. The position requires effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt leadership style to support departmental goals.

Requirements

  • RN License (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
  • BSN (Required)
  • 2 years nursing experience required

Responsibilities
