WDH Nurse Residency – Winter (2027) Cohort
About The Position
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is hiring for its Winter 2027 Nurse Residency cohort, with a March 1, 2027 start date. This year-long, collaborative, person-centered residency supports new graduate nurses as they transition from student to professional nurse and begin their nursing careers. Residents receive experienced preceptors, committed Nurse Educators, accessible nursing leadership, access to a state-of-the-art Simulation Center, personalized orientation plans, and regular goal-focused check-ins. Medical-Surgical specialty units offer low RN-to-patient ratios, unit-based pharmacists, designated Clinical Educators, inpatient Clinical Coaches, day and night Clinical Practice Leaders, Resource RNs with minimal patient assignments, and designated LNAs on every shift. The position is onsite at 789 Central Avenue. The posting lists an hourly pay range of $38.71–$53.29; it also separately lists a salary range for RNs of $38.71–$67.87.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Registered Nurse state license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital or managed care experience of 0–1 year preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
