Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- Five years in acute care nursing
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
- One year in supervisory experience preferred
- Certification in Nursing area of specialty, nursing leadership or professional development once eligible
- Experience in education preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate scheduled experiences and learning opportunities for nurse residents
- Collaborate with managers, preceptors and educators in the orientation process for the new resident
- Coach and follows development of new residents as they progress through the residency program
- Meet with residents, managers and preceptors on a regular, scheduled basis to assess professional development and progression in RN role
- Administer the national Vizient Nurse Residency survey at prescribed intervals
- Develop and implement monthly classroom learning
- Plan and coordinate events such as resident pinning and graduation
- Oversee resident DMAIC project completion
