PRN Nurse Practitioner

Marathon Health•Owensboro, KY

About The Position

Marathon Health is a leading advanced primary care provider that partners with employer and union plan sponsors to improve health for millions of Americans. Its care is delivered through onsite, nearsite, and network health centers, as well as virtual primary care. The value-based model aims to improve the healthcare experience for members and providers while generating cost savings for plan sponsors. Marathon Health is certified as a Great Place to Work and describes its culture as inclusive and high-trust. The Nurse Practitioner provides relationship-based, whole-person care and practices at the top of their license. Care includes prevention, chronic disease management, health education, routine wellness, and urgent visits. Providers work autonomously and have access to resources such as UpToDate and RubiconMD at no charge to them or their patients. Marathon Health emphasizes smaller patient panels, appointments ranging from 20 to 60 minutes, prevention and wellness, and fewer administrative and insurance-related tasks. Success is measured by health outcomes rather than patient volume and billing; this is not a fee-for-service model.
