About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions. The role involves providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. The NP may also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners. This position is part of the Wentworth Health Partners Cardiovascular Group, which offers experienced vascular specialists known for top-quality treatments and outcomes. The team works collaboratively with the Mass General Brigham Heart and Vascular Institute to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive, community hospital environment.

Requirements

Master's Degree Nursing required
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN-NP - State License] required
2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience
1-2 years required
Surgical experience required
Direct vascular surgery highly preferred

Responsibilities

Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.
