About The Position

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their vascular surgery team. Duties will include vascular surgery patient management and crisis intervention, daily rounding, assessment of new vascular consultations throughout the hospital, pre- and post-operative care, assisting on operative cases as needed, discharges, and collaborating with the Vascular Surgery Attending Physicians and other medical providers. The role is open to Physician Assistants or Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. This is an inpatient, vascular surgery position located at 79 Jefferson Street, Hartford, 06102. The schedule is full-time, rotating, with premium differentials offered. There is no call schedule required.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in vascular surgery setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice
  • Identify problems outside of their scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician
