About The Position

Premier HealthNet, Premier Health Specialists and Upper Valley Professional Corporation offer a variety of Nurse Practitioner positions with varying degrees of responsibility. Our Nurse Practitioners, in conjunction with the center's Physician/s and clinical staff, are responsible for exemplary patient primary health care and continuity of medical services under the direction of the supervising physician/s. Responsibilities will vary with each position, and also according to specialty; must be accessible to their physicians, staff and supervisors. This role requires knowledge of professional medical practice to give and evaluate patient care, skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide ongoing patient care. The role also requires competence in taking medical history, assessing medical condition and interpreting findings, and the ability to maintain quality assurance and quality control standards. The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations is essential, as are excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP program.
  • Certified NP (ACNP).
  • Current State of Ohio licensure.
  • Current Certificate to Prescribe.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility.
  • Evidence of malpractice insurance.
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
  • Professional discretion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues.
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience as a NP/ACNP.
  • Experience as a critical care nurse.
  • Electronic Medical Records experience, preferably EPIC.
