About The Position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide day shift onsite coverage for our hospitalist team. The role involves managing inpatient care for adult medicine patients, with an average daily census of 9 patients. This is a locum tenens position covering ASAP and ongoing, with a shift schedule of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Collaboration with 24-hour physician coverage is essential for patient management and escalations. The position requires performing admissions, discharges, and daily rounds, as well as procedures within the NP/PA scope of practice.
Requirements
- Board Certified
- Active West Virginia License
- Active DEA required
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Hospital Medicine experience
Responsibilities
- Provide day shift onsite coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM managing inpatient care.
- Manage an average daily census of 9 patients.
- Collaborate with 24-hour physician coverage for patient management and escalations.
- Perform admissions, discharges, and daily rounds on inpatient unit.
