Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Hospice - PRN

About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner provides medical care to hospice patients, determines hospice eligibility, and manages pain and symptoms. The NP participates in hospice patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team. The role requires an active nurse practitioner license in the state of practice, knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, basic technology skills, and the ability to meet transportation and CPR requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school.
- Licensed as a nurse practitioner in the state in which they currently practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Medicare conditions of participation.
- Basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
- Possess a valid state driver license.
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
- Maintain dependable transportation in good working condition.
- Be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.
- Possess CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- At least five years of nursing experience, with a minimum of one year in hospice preferred.
- At least three years of clinical registered nurse practitioner experience preferred.
