About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner works alongside physicians and facilitates advanced primary and specialty nursing services in a colorectal surgery practice. The role provides general and preventative care for children and adults, including check-ups, treatment of illnesses, ordering laboratory tests, and prescribing medication. The Nurse Practitioner delivers physician-level care in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics, and helps patients and families understand ongoing care and available resources.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or a related area.
• Current state Nurse Practitioner license.

• Five or more years of experience in Nursing or a relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Provides new-patient consultations and reviews health histories.
• Performs physical examinations and patient screenings.
• Provides after-care and ongoing-care information and resources to patients and their families.
• Maintains patient records, including test results, immunizations, and changes in condition.
• Delivers quality, physician-level care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics.
• Recommends further treatment options or future appointments when required.
• Diagnoses health problems and provides medications.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
