About The Position

Kent Hospital, an affiliate of Care New England, is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join its surgical team in Warwick, Rhode Island. The position is part of a collaborative, team-oriented department focused on providing quality medical care. It is a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient role supporting the surgical department, with regular mentorship and collaboration among providers. The Physician Assistant will work alongside an experienced group of physicians and advanced practice providers.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certified by NCCPA.
• Active Rhode Island PA, CSR, and DEA licenses, or eligibility to obtain them.

Nice To Haves

• Colorectal surgery or other surgical specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical first assistance.
• Conduct inpatient rounds.
• Evaluate consultations and perform procedures.
• Conduct outpatient office visits.
• Support the surgical department as part of the inpatient/surgical and outpatient advanced practice clinician team.
