About The Position

Responsible for providing direct patient care within the practice and directive of a collaborating physician. This includes the assessment and management of patients, day-to-day implementation and evaluation of the appropriate plan of care, and serving as a consultant, researcher, and educator. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the Physician as well as nursing and support services to provide patient-focused care.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing, and support staff.
• Proficiency in performing patient assessments, history taking, and physical examinations.
• Skilled in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Strong patient education and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen regulations.
• Must maintain required workplace trainings.

Responsibilities

• Performs history & physicals, documentation of findings; communication with collaborating Provider.
• Orders appropriate diagnostic testing; reviews results/ informs patients & Providers of findings and required follow up.
• Patient education and support.
• Ensures continuity of care for follow-up treatments.
• Other duties as necessary under direction of Provider/s and Administration.
• Adheres to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintains required workplace trainings.
