About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to work at the newly built Franciscan ExpressCare in St. John, Indiana, and support ExpressCare locations in Crown Point and Munster. The role offers a multi-site practice environment and serves patients of all types. The ideal candidate has experience in urgent care or family medicine and the clinical skills needed to evaluate and treat urgent conditions, including potentially critically ill patients.

Requirements

• Master's degree.
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or nationally recognized certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification.
• Experience in urgent care or family medicine.
• Ability to see all patient types.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to patients of all types.
• Float between the St. John, Munster, and Crown Point locations.
• Read basic X-rays of all body parts.
• Perform laceration repair and wound care.
• Provide initial ECG interpretation and interpret test results.
• Urgently evaluate and treat potentially critically ill patients and arrange appropriate transport to the closest emergency room.
