About The Position

UPMC–GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join its team at locations in the greater Pittsburgh area and across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In partnership with UPMC Health System, GoHealth operates a network of urgent care centers focused on providing effortless, personal, and connected experiences for patients, communities, and team members.

The Nurse Practitioner will deliver urgent care in a clinical setting with a wide variety of patient concerns and clinical complexity. The role involves shared decision-making and problem-solving, working with an on-site Rad Tech and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader, and sharing experience and training with clinicians and staff. Centers use integrated EPIC EMR, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray. Each team member is assigned a primary home center and nearby secondary centers. Scheduling flexibility is available for vacations and wellness days Monday through Friday, while weekend shifts and limited on-call availability are required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• ANCC or AANP certification.
• At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience will also be considered.
• Comfort with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints.
• Ability to provide preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
• Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting.
