About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. This contract position offers a stable patient population in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures, prescribing therapies and medications, and performing specific gynecological procedures.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an approved OB/GYN or women's health nurse practitioner program
- Or master’s degree from an approved Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife program will be accepted with women’s health/gynecology experience
- National Certification through NCC, ANCC, AANP or AMCB
- Any State License
- Two years of experience in past three years
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations on women, including gynecological conditions such as contraception, infertility, menopause
- Order screening and diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, mammography
- Perform and interpret screening procedures to include cervical screening, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies and IUD insertion
- Prescribe therapies and medications
- Must be able to perform IUD insertion/removal, colposcopies and Nexplanon
