Nurse Practitioner, Psych PMHNP - Kern CSU/FRC Weekends
About The Position
As a senior member of the clinical team, the Psych Nurse Practitioner provides direct psychiatric care and medication treatment to members served, in addition to the recovery focused treatment plan developed and delivered in concert with the multidisciplinary team. This is a part-time, 24 hours per week position with 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9am to 9pm. It is an onsite position. Optional on-call for emergencies only by phone is available and compensated up to $250/night. Kern CSU is a short-stay crisis stabilization unit (CSU) that offers 24/7 services to adults and youth. The Windsor Center aims to increase access to crisis services, reduce inpatient hospitalization, reduce the amount of time that law enforcement is involved in a mental health crisis, and strengthen the existing outpatient behavioral health services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science and an advanced degree in a healthcare science as required by the State Licensing program
- Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience, or its part-time equivalent, working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in the State of practice
- Active DEA and Furnishing licenses
