About The Position

This position involves directing medical treatment for members served within the scope of a Psychiatrist's licensure. The role includes participating in program leadership by communicating with program staff and members served, and ensuring superior quality medical practices that meet or exceed licensure requirements, payer standards, and client and community needs. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite position, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. There is an optional on-call component for emergencies only, compensated up to $400 per night. Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. The Kern CSU is a short-stay crisis stabilization unit offering 24/7 services to adults and youth, aiming to increase access to crisis services, reduce inpatient hospitalization, decrease law enforcement involvement in mental health crises, and strengthen outpatient behavioral health services.

Requirements

A medical degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association.
Successful completion of residency training program in psychiatry.
Active DEA in good standing.
