About The Position
As a senior member of the clinical team, the Nurse Practitioner provides direct psychiatric nurse practitioner care and medical treatment to members served. This is a Per Diem position, as needed, with 10-hour shifts onsite. The Riverside County Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) offers 24-hour, 7 days-per-week, community-based emergency services for adults and youth experiencing crisis related to a mental health condition. Individuals can stay in the CSU for up to 24 hours. Children and adults are treated in separate areas. Admission is voluntary or involuntary (5150).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science and an advanced degree in a healthcare science as required by the State Licensing program
- Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience, or its part-time equivalent, working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in the State of practice
- Active DEA and Furnishing licenses
