Ellis Medicine is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Hospital Medicine team at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York. Requirements
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- DEA registration required
- Board Certification required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of NP or PA experience required
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior Hospital Medicine experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients
- Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare team members
- Participate in care transitions and discharge planning
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and consulting services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Demonstrate leadership, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making within scope of practice
