About The Position

ImageCare Radiology is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their West Orange office. This role involves assisting physicians, anesthesiologists, or technologists in providing quality medical care to patients within a patient-focused outpatient imaging center environment. The position is part of a growing team dedicated to delivering exceptional medical imaging services and advancing careers in a supportive setting.

Requirements

  • NCCPA Certification (Required, if applicable)
  • NJ State License: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Required)
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • ACLS Certification (Required)
  • West Orange, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
  • Flu Vaccination & Proof of MMR Requirement

Nice To Haves

  • PALS Certification
  • DEA Registration & Controlled Substance Registration Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and prepare them for exam.
  • Organize and research patient records as needed for daily patient schedule.
  • Treat and care for patients within scope of state medical guideline.
  • Assist Technologist with patient care, treatment and education.
  • Assist Technologist with any adverse reactions a patient might experience with contrast injections (Shortness of breath, Rash).
  • Document in patients' medical record as needed with regards to treatment and progress notes.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures as trained and administer injections.
  • Pre and post procedure teaching.
  • Assist the physician with surgical procedures.
  • Return patients’ phone calls when applicable.
  • Order supplies for exam rooms and ensure that exam rooms are ready for patients.
  • Address patients’ needs and questions as they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with The Breast Center Navigation system with regards to patient follow up, calling referring Physicians as needed.
  • Adheres to the strict guidelines outlined by the AMA regarding safe handling of narcotic medications.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
