Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant
About The Position
ImageCare is looking for a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Denville/Fair Lawn office. The schedule we are looking to fill is Wednesday 8:00am - 2:00pm (Fair Lawn Office) and Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm (Denville). All new hires are required to attend first-day orientation at our Mount Olive office before reporting to their assigned work location or training site. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will assist the Physician, Anesthesiologist, or Technologist in providing quality, professional, and knowledgeable medical care to their patients.
Requirements
- NCCPA Certification (Required, if applicable)
- NJ State License: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Flu Vaccination & Proof of MMR Requirement
Nice To Haves
- PALS Certification (Preferred)
- DEA Registration & Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (Preferred, but not required)
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and prepare them for exam.
- Organize and research patient records as needed for daily patient schedule.
- Treat and care for patients within scope of state medical guideline.
- Assist Technologist with patient care, treatment and education.
- Assist Technologist with any adverse reactions a patient might experience with contrast injections (Shortness of breath, Rash).
- Document in patients' medical record as needed with regards to treatment and progress notes.
- Perform diagnostic procedures as trained and administer injections.
- Pre and post procedure teaching.
- Assist the physician with surgical procedures.
- Return patients’ phone calls when applicable.
- Order supplies for exam rooms and ensure that exam rooms are ready for patients.
- Address patients’ needs and questions as they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with The Breast Center Navigation system with regards to patient follow up, calling referring Physicians as needed.
- Adheres to the strict guidelines outlined by the AMA regarding safe handling of narcotic medications.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
