About The Position

Moore County Hospital District (MCHD) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their clinic team. The NP/PA will work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide comprehensive, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role involves health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic illnesses for a diverse patient population. MCHD is an award-winning healthcare provider, recognized as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital and for its high-performing nursing home.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Texas. National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP, or other applicable certification. Or an unrestricted PA license to practice within Texas
  • Current DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and/or specialized health care services to patients based on scope of practice.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, take detailed patient histories, and develop differential diagnoses.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, preventive care, and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Adhere to clinic protocols, regulatory standards, and quality assurance measures.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education.
