About The Position

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the inpatient team at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position working weekend shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The role offers the opportunity to work in a leading pulmonary program alongside physicians and advanced practice providers. The position focuses on evaluating and treating pulmonary patients in an inpatient setting and collaborating with physicians and other pulmonary advanced practice providers.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited physician assistant program and national board certification; or
• Nursing licensure and approval to practice as a nurse practitioner in the State of Georgia, with national certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of pulmonary patients in an inpatient setting.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in patients’ medical records.
• Write orders, progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.
• Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as direct patient care services are delivered.
• Interpret laboratory studies and radiographic testing.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and other pulmonary advanced practice providers.
