About The Position
Piedmont is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider to join the pulmonary critical care unit at Piedmont Fayette Hospital on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will have weekly availability and be comfortable seeing pulmonary as well as internal medicine patients. The role includes pulmonary function testing, health promotion, management of acute and chronic disease, and direct patient care. The provider will augment a physician’s ability to provide medical services and will collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations.
Requirements
- For the Physician Assistant pathway: a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification.
- For the Nurse Practitioner pathway: licensure as a nurse, approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Georgia, and national certification.
- The ideal candidate will have weekly availability and be comfortable seeing pulmonary and internal medicine patients.
Responsibilities
- Complete Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT).
- Emphasize health promotion and manage acute and chronic disease.
