About The Position
Optum is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team in Irvine, California. The position is part of Optum Care Delivery and focuses on patient-centered medicine, taking the time needed to address patients’ needs. Clinicians work with the clinical resources, data, and support of a global organization in a collaborative environment guided by diversity and inclusion. The role provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment. The clinician sees patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatric patients, with an average patient volume of 18–20. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. New graduates are welcome to apply. Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $125,000 to $175,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and may vary based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, productivity, and performance. Benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Requirements
- Unrestricted California license.
- California DEA certificate required before the start date.
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant school.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
