About The Position
MemorialCare Medical Group is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work full-time at its primary care clinic in Lakewood, California. The role involves conducting comprehensive and problem-focused examinations, interpreting test results, establishing diagnoses, and implementing therapeutic interventions. Some conditions may require consultation, referral, or evaluation by a supervising physician or other healthcare professional. The estimated annual base salary range is $131,000–$160,000+, depending on experience. Compensation uses fair market value data specific to the specialty.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- 2–4 years of family medicine or primary care experience.
- Current, active, unrestricted NP or PA licensure.
- License to practice in California.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- DEA number.
Nice To Haves
- Working experience with the Epic EMR system is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Formulate differential diagnoses and establish working diagnoses.
- Implement therapeutic interventions for specific conditions that require consultation, referral, or evaluation by a supervising physician or other healthcare professionals.
