Requirements

Current NP or PA licensure in the state of Kentucky (or eligibility to obtain). New Graduates encouraged to apply!
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
National board certification as an NP (FNP, AGNP) or PA-C
Familiarity with biologic therapies and immunosuppressive medications is a plus
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-first approach
DEA license or ability to obtain one

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, or a related specialty preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and gout
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising rheumatologists
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and joint aspirations
Prescribe and monitor medications including DMARDs, biologics, and corticosteroids
Conduct follow-up appointments to assess treatment efficacy and adjust care plans accordingly
Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
