About The Position

Recovia is a multidisciplinary organization focused on providing whole-person care for behavioral health, chronic pain and substance use through a biopsychosocial approach. Our teams work collaboratively across medical, behavioral health, and physical therapy to help patients build sustainable recovery and improve quality of life. We are looking for compassionate, motivated medical providers who want to make a meaningful impact in patients’ lives. Position Overview We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ANP) or Physician Assistant to join our Phoenix-area medical team. This is a fully in-office position, Monday through Friday. No weekends. No call. No overnight responsibilities. The ideal candidate is confident, adaptable, team-oriented, and passionate about caring for underserved populations. Experience in addiction medicine, psychiatry, pain management, primary care, emergency medicine, or behavioral health is helpful but not required. New graduates are welcome and mentorship is available. This role offers a unique balance of autonomy and collaboration. Providers are supported by an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team while still having the independence to practice medicine, build patient relationships, and help shape treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Active Arizona NP or PA license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Ability to work on-site in Phoenix Monday–Friday
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, psychiatry, pain management, corrections, or primary care
  • Experience with MAT/MOUD including buprenorphine
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
  • New graduates are welcome and mentorship is available.

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical evaluations and follow-up visits
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage medications related to addiction treatment and minor behavioral health issues
  • Collaborate closely with behavioral health and physical therapists, as well as other clinical staff
  • Complete documentation in a timely and compliant manner
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination
  • Build meaningful long-term relationships with patients throughout their journey
