This role involves responding to psychiatric emergencies, de-escalating patients, and providing psychoeducational and medication instruction. The practitioner will act as a patient advocate, inform patients and families about community resources, and foster good working relationships with colleagues for quality patient care. This position serves as a psychiatric clinical resource and liaison between programs and providers. Responsibilities include participating in quality improvement, utilization management, staff meetings, and committees, as well as engaging in training for professional growth. The role also involves assessing and managing behavioral health patients, providing leadership in emergencies, offering psychiatric consultative services at Cape Cod Hospital, and developing/managing a narcotic addiction program. Adherence to clinical and administrative policies, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and performing other assigned duties are essential.
