We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Clinic team on a per-diem basis. Location: Palo Verde Hospital Community Clinic - Blythe, California Position Type: Per-Diem Shift Availability: Day Shift / Variable Based on Clinic Needs The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant plays an important role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our community. This position provides direct care to primary care clinic patients, including scheduled follow-up, recheck, and same-day appointments. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works collaboratively with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant performs physical examinations, evaluates patients' physical and emotional health needs, orders appropriate diagnostic testing, performs procedures and treatments, prescribes medications within the authorized scope of practice, and provides education to patients and families regarding medical conditions, medications, treatment plans, and ongoing care. This position provides age-appropriate care across the lifespan, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and is credentialed through the Medical Staff.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, including an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Current and valid California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current national board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB), or other applicable recognized certifying organization.
  • Current CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • Current DEA registration with appropriate prescribing authority.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care or specialty care setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing care to patients across multiple age groups preferred.
  • Rural health, community health, or primary care experience is preferred.
